Description
Embracing the DNA of the RedHeads Movement, they've gone to Debs and Matt Poole. The people behind two of our most iconic wines: Fenrir and Dogs of the Barossa!
A serious pedigree of grower. Plus some fruit from the Kalleskes down Light Pass, another RedHeads favourite! The family land was first acquired in 1851 by Deb’s great, great Grandfather (Johann Sporn) - it’s now run by the sixth generation! The vineyard itself is based on the “Valley Floor” and the North Para River runs through it. They currently specialise in Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and, importantly, Pinot Noir.
Fermented in stainless steel and delicately remontaged with part extended maceration on skins. The whole wine was racked to tank (with a small portion in seasoned barrels) to accentuate the juicy fruit character in the wine.
Tasting Note: A lighter RedHead than most - displaying bright violets, raspberries, spice, cherries and dark fruits. Delicious slightly chilled!
Grape: Shiraz, Pinot Noir
- 2018: 3x GOLDS, 90-94 POINTS from International Wine Awards
