Tucked away in Australia’s south-west corner just 4km from Margaret River’s town centre and an equal distance from the magnificent coastline, Xanadu has a long history of crafting outstanding wines that embody all the region has to offer.

The winemakers see their role as custodians of the vineyards and what each individual site has to offer. Their philosophy is to guide the wines through to the bottle, rather than ‘beating them into submission’. It’s the combination of the climate, soils and genetic plant material (Gingin Chardonnay and Houghton Cabernet clones) that by definition contribute to our regional and varietal integrity.

Techniques such as whole bunch pressing, wild fermentation with only a portion of new French oak and lees stirring for our Chardonnay culminate in fruit forward wines where the loudest voice in the glass is the vineyard.

Xanadu has been awarded Australia’s Best Cabernet for the last 7 years, and currently holds the title for Australia’s Best Chardonnay as awarded at the National Wine Show of Australia. That’s not to mention the staggering 110 trophies and 304 gold medals (and counting) accumulated since 2007 including the coveted Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy for our 2016 Xanadu Cabernet Sauvignon.
